Galaxy S24 series renders and specs leaked: Everything you need to know about the upcoming flagships

Samsung is set to unveil its latest flagship phone series early next year. Official renders and specifications of all three models - the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra - have now leaked, courtesy of Windows Report, giving us a detailed early look at these highly anticipated devices. The biggest upgrade is undoubtedly the fact that the Galaxy S24 Ultra features a titanium frame, but there’s more. Let’s take a look.

Galaxy S24

The base Galaxy S24 model will feature a 6.2-inch Full HD+ OLED display and the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It will come with 8GB of RAM and 128/256/512GB storage options. The handset will pack a 4,000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging. It has a triple camera system led by a 50MP main sensor. This affordable flagship phone will be an iterative update over the S23, but still a compelling option.

Galaxy S24+

Stepping up, the Galaxy S24+ brings a larger 6.7-inch QHD+ OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It gets the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip but offers more RAM configurations - 8/12GB RAM and 256/512GB storage. The S24+ also increases battery capacity to 4,900 mAh with 45W fast charging. The rear camera setup remains unchanged.

Galaxy S24 Ultra

The real showstopper, however, should be the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It shares the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip as its siblings but offers a 12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB storage configuration. The S24 Ultra flaunts a massive 6.8-inch QHD+ OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is now fully flat. It packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W charging - the same capacity as the S23 Ultra.

The highlight of the Galaxy S24 Ultra is undoubtedly its quad camera setup featuring a 200MP main sensor. The phone also has dual telephoto lenses of 10MP (3x optical) and 50MP (5x optical). The 50MP 5x optical lens is supposedly an upgrade but the zoom level appears to have dipped down from the 10MP 10x lens on the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Additional details

All three Galaxy S24 models will run Android 14 out of the box. They have Wi-Fi 6E/7, 5G and Bluetooth 5.3. Samsung is baking new generative AI capabilities into these phones, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3's on-device AI engine.All three models are also expected to feature much larger vapour chamber heat dissipation systems, which should translate to cooler temps.
