OpenAI’s ChatGPT voice now available for everyone

A midst all the chaos, OpenAI has now extended ChatGPT with voice feature to all the users, allowing users to interact and receive responses using voice instead of text. OpenAI has pushed an update to the Android and iOS versions of the app that enables the ChatGPT voice feature for everyone.

OpenAI's ex-president and co-founder, Greg Brockman, who recently joined Microsoft along with Sam Altman has endorsed this announcement on X, saying "ChatGPT Voice rolled out for all free users.

Right now, ChatGPT offers five different voices, which include Breeze, Ember, Juniper, Cove, and Sky. Users can select either of these voices from the speech section in the settings menu.

The free version of the ChatGPT app is also based on the GPT 3.5 model, which also has a bit of a limitation, especially when compared to the more recent GPT-4 Turbo, which was recently made available for the GPT Plus subscribers, which costs $20 a month.
